The Low Desert Open is a tennis tournament, weekend retreat, and celebration of sport, art, and the great outdoors. Recreational players will compete while spectators and guests enjoy drinks, food, and music.

For advanced players, there are singles brackets for men and women.
For intermediate players there is a doubles bracket. You may choose your doubles parter or we’ll pair you with someone. Passes are sold by individual, not by team.
Limit one draw per player.
Not playing?
Participate in other weekend activities. There will be music, drinks, a pool party, a guided hike, ping pong, basketball, and more.
Where do I stay? There is on-site camping available. You can purchase camping passes along with your Player or Guest Pass. If you’re not a camper, there are plenty of places to stay in Borrego Springs. Here are links to find nearby accommodations.
What is the structure of the tournament? For advanced players, there are singles brackets for men’s and women’s. Please, no current or former tour players.
For intermediate players there is a doubles bracket. You may choose your doubles partner or we’ll pair you with someone. Passes are sold by individual, not by team. Every doubles player must purchase a ticket to compete.
The tournament is single-elimination, and the format of play is best-of-three Fast4 Tennis. The finals matches will be best-of-three sets. There will be a Friday Player warm-up and clinic followed by matches on Saturday and finals on Sunday.
After purchasing a player ticket, we will get in touch to get all necessary details.
What if I’m running late or leaving early? The full event runs from 1 pm on Friday through Sunday afternoon, but you don’t need to be here the whole time. Tickets allow for re-entry, feel free to come and go as you please. For tournament players, matches will be scheduled from Saturday at 9 am ‘til Sunday at 11 am. A couple weeks before the event, we’ll send you an email with the draw and match times.
Will food and drink be provided? You may purchase a ticket for Friday’s pasta night by Romano’s Italian Restaurant. All other planned food and drink is included with the Player and Guest Passes. Breakfast will be served on Saturday and Sunday, and lunch will be served on Saturday. Vegetarian and vegan options will be available for all meals. Drinks will be provided courtesy of our sponsors, and additional drinks available for purchase at the bar. For any other meals we recommend you head into town.
Do I have to play tennis to attend? No. Many guests will be here to spectate, chill by the pool, and enjoy the desert.
Are pets or animals allowed? Pets are not allowed and will be turned away. NO emotional support animals, therapy animals, or companion animals. Only legitimate service animals that are properly trained and under the proper care of their owners will be provided with the appropriate credentials. Service animals should have legally required vaccinations (which may need to be verified).
